Cercle des mères pré- et post-partum - Juillet + Clôture des mères

This month we will be holding a Mother's Closing.  This is a special event that I intend to offer at least once a year for the mothers in our community. See details below:

Many  cultures around the world practice forms  of celebrating the mother  after she has given birth to her child. The  most well known ritual in  birthwork circles is the closing of the bones  ceremony practiced in  Mexico. In North America, we tend to celebrate the  child’s arrival  and  forget the mother. This community celebration aims to bring back  Mother Honouring in our communities in a way that is pertinent to our culture and time. The idea of “closing” speaks to the mother opening her   body and spirit to bring the baby on Earth. As a community we will honour and bless her. Mother's will have an opportunity to share about their journey within a loving container. We will pray that…
