October Newsletter

Dear one,

Autumn is settling in, and with it comes that familiar invitation to slow down, turn inward, and take stock of where we are.

Life has been full lately, and I've been doing my best to find a balance between my work at Health Energies, caring for my home and family, and creating opportunities for our community to come together.

I love holding space for people. I love bringing women together to move, meditate, sing, share, and remember what connects us. And yet, like so many of us, I sometimes struggle to find enough time and energy for everything that matters to me.

Perhaps this is part of what autumn is asking of us: to consider what we want to carry forward and what we might be ready to put down.

Queens of Peace — This Sunday, October 18

One of the ways I find my own balance is by coming together with other women.

This Sunday, October 18, from 2–4 PM, I'll be hosting a Queens of Peace Women's Circle at Pine Eco Refillery Boutique in Collingwood.

We'll spend the afternoon with gentle movement, meditation, devotional song, and prayer, creating a little space to reconnect with ourselves, one another, and the world around us.

As we enter the darker months, I feel it's especially important to nurture our inner light and remember the strength that comes from community.

A special offer for my newsletter community:

The regular contribution is $40, but I'd love to offer you a special rate of $30 as a thank-you for being part of this community. Including if you have read the newsletter on the blog.

No previous experience with meditation, yoga, or women's circles is needed. Come as you are.

Reflections from Italy — Exploring the Energy of Life

I recently returned from a beautiful trip to Italy, which was primarily a work training trip to learn directly from the manufacturers of SEQEX technology.

For those unfamiliar with SEQEX, it is a technology that uses pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) to interact with the body's physiological processes. In Canada, SEQEX devices have Health Canada authorization for specific therapeutic uses, including improving microcirculation, reducing inflammation, and inducing a muscle-relaxant effect.

The manufacturers have been developing new software that allows for greater personalization of PEMF programs, making it possible to tailor treatments more closely to individual needs.

It was both inspiring and humbling to find myself sitting alongside health professionals, including naturopaths and chiropractors, all of us learning together and exploring how best to use this technology to support health and well-being.

One of the things I appreciate most about this work is how much there is still to discover. I've been fascinated by the electrical nature of the human body and the role that electromagnetic fields play in living systems.

Looking Ahead — Friday, November 13: Reclaiming Feminine Wisdom

I've also been continuing my studies of astrology, and lately I've been particularly fascinated by the movements of Venus.

Did you know that Venus traces an extraordinary fivefold pattern in the sky over an approximately eight-year cycle? It resembles a five-petalled flower, a beautiful celestial geometry that has captured my imagination.

Venus began her retrograde journey on October 3 and will turn direct again on November 13.

When a planet appears to move retrograde, it isn't actually travelling backward through space. It's an apparent reversal of direction as seen from Earth, caused by the changing positions and movements of the planets.

In astrology, retrograde periods are traditionally understood as times for reflection, revisiting, and reconsidering. With Venus, the themes often involve love, relationships, beauty, pleasure, creativity, and what we truly value.

And this year, Venus turns direct on Friday the 13th!

Friday has long been associated with Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. The number 13 also carries feminine symbolism through its relationship with lunar and menstrual cycles. There are approximately 13 lunar cycles in a solar year, a rhythm that reminds us of the cyclical nature of life.

Although Friday the 13th is often regarded as unlucky, I prefer to look at this day through another lens.

For centuries, women's knowledge, intuition, and healing traditions have been questioned, feared, or suppressed. We need only remember the persecution of women accused of witchcraft, including those whose lives were connected with traditional healing practices.

What if we chose to honour this day as an opportunity to celebrate feminine wisdom rather than fear it?

On Friday evening, November 13, I look forward to gathering in circle to sing, pray, and meditate together.

My intention is to create a space where we can reconnect with our feminine power—not as power over others, but as the power to love, create, nourish, heal, and contribute to our communities.

More details will follow soon. For now, please save the date!

A Seasonal Invitation to Explore Within — QHHT

As we move toward the winter solstice, perhaps you're feeling called to explore something more deeply within yourself.

I continue to offer Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) sessions, a form of guided hypnosis that invites you to explore your inner world, access personal insights, and approach life's questions from a different perspective.

Each session is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and devote several hours entirely to yourself.

As a seasonal thank-you to this community, I'm offering $50 off QHHT sessions booked between now and December 21, the winter solstice.

If you've been curious about this work, I'd be happy to connect with you.

Group QHHT — Coming in November!

Many of you have been asking when I'll be offering another Group QHHT experience, and I'm happy to share that I'm planning one for November! For those who are curious about past-life regression and exploring the subconscious mind, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience guided regression in a group setting.

I'm tentatively looking at Wednesday, November 18. The date and location are still to be confirmed, and I'll be sharing all the details in early November. Stay tuned!

What I'm Reading & Listening To

I thought I'd share a few of the books and pieces of music that have been keeping me company lately. Perhaps something here will speak to you, too.

On my reading table:

The Fifth Element of Health — This books explores PEMF and the relationship between energy and health. I'm particularly drawn to the questions surrounding quantum physics and energy healing, whether through human hands or technologies such as PEMF. We've also recently introduced a new technology at Health Energies called NESA, which uses non-invasive microelectrical stimulation for neuromodulation. My next book will be The Body Electric by Dr. Robert O. Becker, which explores bioelectricity, healing, and regeneration.

Your Soul Had a Dream, Your Life Is It — Rebecca Campbell — I've only just started this book, and I'm already loving it. Rebecca writes about her profound encounter with the Divine Mother and the relationship she develops with Her, as well as navigating and recovering from a dark night of the soul. It was recommended to me by a client at Health Energies. Thank you for this beautiful recommendation!

Never Broken — Jewel — I'm also reading Jewel's memoir, and what a story. Parts of her life have been heartbreaking to read, but what inspires me most is how she has navigated tremendous hardship and continued to grow through it, cultivating love, compassion, and a deeper understanding of herself.

What I'm listening to:

Untie the Strong Woman — Clarissa Pinkola Estés (Audible) — I've been listening to Clarissa Pinkola Estés speak about the Divine Mother, the feminine spirit, and the sacred traditions of devotion. Her storytelling and wisdom are a gift.

Ajeet's new album — Beautifully soothing to the soul. Her voice and music have been such a lovely companion lately, especially as we move into the quieter months of the year.

Hands — Jewel — I've been returning to this song with a new appreciation after reading about Jewel's life. She wrote it during a very difficult period, reflecting on her experience of homelessness, shoplifting, and the realization that she could choose what to do with her own hands.

There's something so powerful in that realization. Even when we cannot control our circumstances, we can begin to take responsibility for our own actions. We can choose what we create, what we offer, and how we meet the world.

It feels like a fitting message for this season.

Moving with the Season

There is so much happening in the world, and sometimes so much happening in our own little worlds, too.

I'm learning, again and again, that balance isn't necessarily something we achieve once and then maintain. Perhaps it's something we continually return to, through listening, adjusting, resting, and choosing where to place our energy.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue learning, sharing, and growing alongside you.

May this autumn bring you moments of stillness, clarity, warmth, and connection.

With love,

Emilie
