Spring Newsletter — Moving Forward Together

We are already halfway through spring, past Beltane — the midpoint of the season.
This year, I spent the night of Beltane (May 1st) flying home from England back to Canada, somewhere between worlds, between versions of myself.
For many people, last year, the Year of the Snake felt intense — layers shedding, identities dissolving, rest and uncertainty moving us through a kind of chrysalis process. I spoke about this in my winter newsletter, and I know many of us have felt it deeply.
Now, as we move into the Year of the Horse, the energy feels different. The Horse asks for movement, courage, action, and trust. But movement does not come without challenge.
Horses move with strength, grace, instinct, and faith — and they move as a herd.
This feels like a time to find your people. The people who truly see you. The ones who remember who you are when you forget. The ones who support your becoming while walking their own path beside you.
England, Vipassana & Sacred Lands
This spring, our family found a way to send me to England for a 10-day silent Vipassana meditation retreat.
Some of you may already be familiar with Vipassana — we even have a centre in Barrie — but I deeply needed a change of scene, distance from my routines, and reconnection with ancestral lands.
As I continue integrating the experience, I’ve been slowly sharing reflections through Instagram, YouTube, my podcast, and writing. Sharing helps me understand and remember the journey more deeply, and hopefully offers something meaningful to this community as well.
Some themes from the trip included:
Vipassana
working through anger, resentment, and trust in the unfolding of life
understanding the importance of working on oneself before trying to change the world
learning the transformative power of consistency and daily meditation
discovering the peace that can arise through simplicity and silence
Avebury & Ancient Britain
I visited West Kennet Long Barrow and other ancient sacred sites around Avebury and felt deeply humbled by the generations of people who worked together to build these places.
Glastonbury
Glastonbury felt like a living spiritual heart — a place where pre-Christian Celtic traditions and Christian mysticism still intertwine. I was especially moved by the devotion to the Divine Feminine present there.
It was fascinating to finally walk lands I had spent years reading about through fiction, spiritual teachings, and my own inner journeys.
Some books that deeply shaped this path for me:
The Mists of Avalon
Boudica
Anna, Grandmother of Jesus
The Horns of the Goddess
Upcoming Events & Offerings

An evening of meditation, gentle connection, song, prayer, and feminine community. A space to slow down, reconnect to yourself, and gather with other women in peace and presence.
DAWN — Family Festival of Hope & Light
June 13
One of the offerings I’m most excited about this season. DAWN is a family festival focused on beauty, creativity, connection, play, music, nature, and community gathering for all ages.
We’ll have crafts, games, a kids market, shared food, art, music, dancing, and more.
Early Morning Meditation by the River
I’ve been feeling called to begin a simple drop-in meditation group by donation from 6–7 AM near the river close to my home.
Quiet sitting. Meditation. Sunrise. Simplicity.
If this interests you, let me know — it may be the kick in the butt I need to get it going!
Group Journeys & QHHT
I’ve recently uploaded previous group journey recordings and meditative experiences to my Stan Store:
I’m also offering $50 off private QHHT sessions until the end of June.If you feel called to book, simply reply to this email or reach out directly.
A Spring Poem
This poem came through during a QHHT session this spring and feels deeply connected to the energy of this season.
Rose
Rose is mindfulness
She knows
To open softly
As she grows
Petal by petal
She unfolds
Never rushing
Her Becoming
Her Blossoming
Is tender and true
In the morning Sun
She soaks up the Light
Shimmering playfully
In the morning dew
With love,
